Eric Mirsky, MD, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, has been appointed chair of the medical group’s department of orthopedics. Dr. Mirsky has been an assistant team physician for the New York Knicks and New York Liberty basketball teams. He also has provided orthopedic care for the Professional Arena Football League, Professional Golf Association Championship and local high school football teams. Dr. Mirsky has served on the board for Summit Medical Group for nine years.
Eight additional orthopedic physicians will comprise the orthopedics department: Joseph T. Barmakian, MD, David D. Bullek, MD, Joseph T. Corona, MD, Matthew J. Garberina, MD, John Hurley, MD, Stephen Kocaj, MD, Michael Shindle, MD, and Albert B. Thrower, MD.
