Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute opened a practice inside Orlando Health-Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, Fla.

The practice is anchored by orthopedic surgeons Kevin Cox, MD, Jose Torres, MD, and Jacob Cox, MD, according to an Oct. 13 news release shared with Becker’s. Dr. Kevin Cox joined the institute in March from West Orange Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. The three surgeons have more than 70 years of combined experience in West Orange County.

The location plans to add a walk-in clinic in the coming months, providing access to an advanced practice provider for sports medicine and orthopedic concerns without an appointment.

Dr. Jacob Cox will also continue seeing patients at Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
