Revenue at Aurora Spine fell 18.7% to $3.66 million in the second quarter of 2026, from $4.50 million during the same period in 2025.
“The second-quarter results were disappointing,” CEO Trent Northcutt said in an Aug. 27 news release, pointing to the transition and retooling of the company’s internal sales team, its now-settled dispute involving the patent holder for SiLO TFX, and increased competition. He said the drop in sales was “larger than anticipated.”
Aurora Spine reported a net loss of $834,763 for the quarter, compared with a net loss of $199,000 a year earlier. Operating expenses increased to $3.03 million from $2.97 million.
The company’s gross profit margin fell to 60.1% from 62.2% in the second quarter of 2025. Aurora Spine said lower sales of SI joint products weighed on revenue, while increased cervical implant and biologics sales partly offset the decline.
Sales of DEXA-C cervical implants increased 66.0% year over year.
