Amplio Spine named Nomen Azeem, MD, chief clinical officer and founding chair of its advisory board.
Dr. Azeem will direct the company’s clinical strategy and research programs and build its clinical governance structure, according to an Aug. 25 news release. He brings 15 years of clinical leadership experience in interventional spine and pain medicine.
Dr. Azeem is also program director of the Pain Medicine Fellowship at Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare’s HCA Florida Healthcare network and the Tampa-based University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, and is principal investigator on multiple prospective clinical studies.
He has authored or co-authored over 40 publications and textbook chapters on minimally invasive spine procedures and surgical outcomes, according to the release.
