New York has more hospitals on U.S. News & World Report’s 2026-2027 list of the nation’s top hospitals for neurology and neurosurgery than any other state, with 10 of the 50 ranked spots. California follows with eight, and Florida rounds out the top three with five. The rankings, released Aug. 4, evaluated nearly 1,030 hospitals on their care for conditions including brain hemorrhage, spinal disorders, stroke and multiple sclerosis.
