Missouri orthopedic practice suffers data breach

Columbia (Mo.) Orthopaedic Group has suffered a data breach impacting patient information, according to a July 13 report from Claim Depot

On May 25, 2026, a ransomware group claimed to have obtained data belonging to Columbia Orthopaedic Group. The specific personal or protected health information that may have been impacted in the breach has not been disclosed. 

The group threatened to publish the data within 14 to 15 days of its claim, but it is not known if the group released the information.

The incident impacted 500 individuals, according to a June 18 filing with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights.
