DePuy Synthes names new global head of robotics

Andrew Burton, PhD, is DePuy Synthes’ new global head of robotics, he said in a June 11 LinkedIn post.

Dr. Burton has worked with Johnson & Johnson MedTech for more than 10 years and was most recently director of EMEA knee marketing, according to his LinkedIn profile.

In his new role he will lead global orthopedic robotics strategy at DePuy Synthes.

“This role gives me the privilege of leading our global robotics strategy, uniting technology, data, and orthopedic care to drive innovation from concept through global launch,” he said in his post. “I’m truly excited by the opportunity to work with talented teams around the world to advance robotic-enabled surgery and create lasting value for patients and healthcare systems.”
