Gastonia, N.C.-based CaroMont Health has opened CaroMont Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center, effective June 3, after integrating the physicians and staff of Carolina Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center into its network.
The practice now operates as part of CaroMont Medical Group and expands CaroMont Health’s orthopedic and sports medicine services, according to a June 3 news release.
Patients will continue to receive care from the same physicians and staff, with no changes to existing treatment plans or provider relationships. The practice remains at its current Gastonia location.
The combined program includes orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, advanced practice providers and rehabilitation specialists. Services range from orthopedic urgent care and nonsurgical treatment to surgery and postoperative rehabilitation.
The move builds on nearly 75 years of collaboration between the organizations and is intended to strengthen access to orthopedic and sports medicine care in the region, according to the release.
