Norwich, N.Y.-based UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital has opened an orthopedic suite in the latest phase of its Chenango Medical Neighborhood project.
UHS Orthopedics Norwich relocated to a renovated second-floor space that nearly doubled the number of exam rooms, increasing capacity from nine to 17. The new suite also includes a dedicated procedure room, according to a May 28 news release.
The expanded footprint is designed to improve access to orthopedic care and accommodate growing patient demand in the region. The orthopedic project coincides with the opening of a new street entrance and redesigned parking area. Together, the improvements represent Phase 2 of the hospital’s broader campus modernization effort.
UHS Chenango Memorial has invested $110 million in facility upgrades over the last decade. The hospital is part of Binghamton, N.Y.-based United Health Services, a 916-bed health system serving New York’s Southern Tier through more than 40 locations.
