Johnson & Johnson reported nearly $2.4 billion in orthopedic sales during the first quarter of 2026, an increase of 6.3% from the previous year, according to financial results posted April 14.

- Orthopedic sales in the U.S. totaled $1.44 billion and international sales were $948 million during the first quarter of 2026.
- In the first quarter, trauma was the company’s largest orthopedic segment, with $833 million in worldwide sales.
- Hip sales totaled $436 million in the first quarter, a 6.5% increase, and knee sales reached $420 million, a 7.9% jump.
- The company’s sales in the spine, sports and other categories were $833 million in 2026’s first quarter, up from $772 million in 2025.
- Johnson & Johnson’s total medtech sales were $8.6 billion in the first quarter, an increase of 7.7% compared to $8 billion in the first quarter last year.
- The company is weighing a potential $20 billion sale of its orthopedic unit, DePuy Synthes.
