Georgia orthopedic group adds 10 specialists

Atlanta-based Resurgens Orthopaedics has added 10 subspecialty-trained physicians, bringing the practice to 102 physicians across 26 clinical locations.

The additions aim to meet growing demand for orthopedic and spine care amid the Atlanta area’s population growth, according to an Aug. 13 news release.

The additions include sports medicine physicians Jack McKay, MD, Ajit Vakharia, MD, and Dave Ge, MD; orthopedic spine surgeons Ricardo Hernandez, DO, Aaron Hoyt, MD, and Rohan Desai, MD; and hip and knee replacement specialists Craig Shul, MD, and Arthur McDowell, MD.

Nicholas Bender, MD, specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation, while Gill Thompson, MD, specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery.

The physicians began or will begin seeing patients at Resurgens locations throughout the Atlanta area by Oct. 1.
