Here are five spine surgeons named to leadership roles since February.
1. UChicago Medicine named Mohamad Bydon, MD, as the inaugural chair of the department of neurological surgery in February, and he will step into the role on July 1.
2. Sheeraz Qureshi, MD, was named as the new chief medical officer at Hospital for Special Surgery Florida.
3. Sander Connolly Jr., MD, is the new president of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
4. Norwalk (Conn.) Hospital, an affiliate of Elite Brain & Spine of Connecticut in Danbury, named Joshua Marcus, MD, as chief of neurosurgery.
5. Medical device company SynerFuse named neurosurgeon Michael Park, MD, PhD, as its chief technology officer.
