Spine company EDGe Surgical names CEO

EDGe Surgical, which focuses on single-use digital spine and orthopedic instruments, named Leo Carayannopoulos as CEO.

Mr. Carayannopoulos’ appointment comes shortly after the company raised $1.3 million in financing, according to a May 12 news release. The company’s flagship product is the Ortho EDG single-use digital depth gauge and is preparing to launch new 100mm and 35mm products.

Mr. Carayannopoulos will lead EDGe Surgical’s strategic direction with a focus on building out commercial infrastructure and driving adoption.
