Southern Oregon Orthopedics adds Mako, Velys robot

Medford, Ore.-based Southern Oregon Orthopedics is now offering robot-assisted joint replacements using Stryker’s Mako robot and the Velys robotic system. 

Robotic joint replacements offer a number of benefits to patients, including faster recovery, more accurate implant placements, better patient outcomes and increased precision, according to an April 23 press release sent to Becker’s. 

Orthopedic surgeon and joint replacement specialists Daniel Cowley, DO, and Jeffrey Jancuska, MD, will perform robotic replacements at the Orthopedic Outpatient Center in

Medford, Ore., and at Southern Oregon Orthopedics’ facility in Grants Pass, Ore.
