Quincy, Ill.-based Blessing Hospital has added Johnson & Johnson MedTech’s Velys robot for partial knee replacements, according to a March 22 report from Muddy River News

Orthopedic surgeons Darr Leutz, MD, and Sean Moroze, MD, are using the Velys robot for partial knee replacement procedures at Blessing Health.

The Velys robot uses AI to precisely calculate incision size and how to balance the knee, leading to less incisions and increasing the longevity of the implant.

The robot was launched and federally cleared in August 2024.
