5 medtech notes: Alphatec, Life Spine and more

From product debuts to new studies, here are five key updates from spine and orthopedic companies since Feb. 26.

1. Alphatec reported $177 million in fourth quarter revenue and $612 million revenue for the full year 2024. 

2. Centinel Spine signed a senior secured loan agreement with SLR Capital Partners for $60 million.

3. The first cases with Life Spine’s ARx SAI spinal fixation system were completed.

4. SynerFuse, in partnership with the Minneapolis-based University of Minnesota, South Bend (Ind.) Orthopaedics and RQM+, completed the first proof-of-concept study of its electric transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion procedure.  

5. Spinal Stabilization Technologies enrolled its first U.S. patient in the Investigational Device Exemption clinical trial for its PerQdisc Nucleus Replacement Device.
