Eisertech sells implants directly to hospitals and surgery centers for a lower price than many competing implants. The company’s cervical cage is priced at $495 per cage. This means a hospital or surgery center performing only one procedure with that device per week could save more than $20,000 per year, according to the release.
The company was founded by CEO Lukas Eisermann, in 2010. His business model is selling commodity implants directly to the customer and eliminating sales commission, which can be up to 40 percent of the implant’s cost.
