Zimmer Acquires Synvasive Technology

Zimmer has acquired Reno, Nev.-based medical device company Synvasive Technology, according to a Zimmer news release.

The acquisition will add Synvasive’s STABLECUT surgical saw blades and eLIBRA Dynamic Knee Balancing System for soft tissue balancing to Zimmer’s product line. The technology is designed for optimal position of the femoral implant in a less-invasive surgical approach.
