Dr. Patrick Kim performs 1st ExcelsiusGPS procedure at Florida hospital

Patrick Kim, MD, completed the first robotic case with the ExcelsiusGPS spine robot at Tampa (Fla.) General Hospital, according to a Jan. 27 LinkedIn post.

The procedure was a transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion at L4/L5 using Globus Medical’s RISE expandable cage and an advanced endoscopy technique. 

Dr. Kim is a neurological spine surgeon at the USF Health Department of Neurosurgery in Tampa, Fla.
