The UF Health Orthopaedic Surgical Center will support outpatient services for total joint replacements and other orthopedic procedures, according to a Jan. 8 press release.

The new facility will feature a da Vinci 5 surgical robot to perform less invasive procedures, making it the first health system in the Southeast to use the da Vinci 5.

The location will house eight operating rooms designed for orthopedic surgery. Currently, UF’s Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Institute cares for more than 100,000 patients annually.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
