Dr. Terrence Crowder performs world’s 1st surgery using Innosys implant

Terrence Crowder, MD, a surgeon in Mesa, Ariz., has performed the inaugural surgery using Innosys’ UniSpace 3D printed Ti standalone device, according to an Aug. 27 LinkedIn post.

Dr. Crowder performed the procedure on Aug. 21. The UniSpace device features multilayer dual density biomimetic scaffold abilities, an integrated bone screw locking mechanism, an optional locking plate for added security and sterile packaging that ensures safety and efficiency. 

Innosys partnered with Spine Gear, a provider of spine and orthopedic solutions and systems, on the inaugural case.
