5 medtech notes: Orthofix, Aurora Spine and more

Here are five key updates from spine and orthopedic devicemakers since May 8:

1. Orthofix earned FDA 510(k) clearance for its Rodeo telescopic nail, the devicemaker said May 9.

 2. Artificial intelligence-driven orthopedic robotics company Monogram Orthopaedics plans to merge its wholly owned subsidiary, Monogram Technologies, into Monogram Orthopaedics. 

3. Spine technology company Alphatec saw 27% revenue growth in the first quarter of 2024, reaching $138 million. 

4. Orthopedic technology company Implanet has earned FDA clearance for its hybrid fixation system, the Jazz Spinal System. 

5. Aurora Spine saw a 35.7% year-over-year increase in first quarter sales, according to financial results posted May 13.
