ZygoFix earns FDA nod for lumbar fixation system

ZygoFix earned FDA clearance for its zLock device, the company said in a May 6 LinkedIn post.

ZLock is a lumbar facet fixation system that uses the spine’s bone structure to lock connecting joints instead of relying on screws, according to a company news release. Clearance was earned through clinical evidence in an ongoing study in Europe.

The system also has regulatory clearance in Europe.
