Kentucky medical center adds Mako robot for joint replacements

Maysville, Ky.-based Meadowview Regional Medical Center has added a Mako robot for partial and total knee replacements, according to an Aug. 26 report from The Ledger Independent.

Meadowview’s orthopedic care center received the robot on Aug. 16 and has since completed two surgeries. This is the first time a Mako robot has been used locally, according to the report. 

The robot will result in less risk, more precision and faster recovery times for patients in the area.
