The 75-bed hospital will have 10 operating rooms, a 3D printer and a 116-seat theater classroom, and it will create roughly 350 to 400 healthcare jobs, according to the report. It will serve roughly 250,000 patients a year, with 11 appointments already booked for opening day.
The hospital is part of Orlando Health’s new 375,000-square-foot, $300 million Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute’s downtown complex. The hospital is opening as phase 2 of the complex’s debut.
Phase 1 opened in March with imaging, lab and pharmacy services; a 62-exam room clinic; an ASC; and a rehabilitation space.
Orlando Health also plans to open four new outpatient clinics in 2024, according to the report.
