DISC Surgery Center at Carlsbad (Calif.) partnered with San Diego-based Sharp HealthCare and will be co-branded as Sharp DISC Surgery Center Carlsbad.
Sharp is a strategic equity partner in the surgery center. The organizations will work together to integrate diagnostics, imaging, cardiac clearances, pre- and postoperative care and rehabilitation, according to a Sept. 30 news release.
The partnership will also give Sharp-affiliated physicians access to the outpatient surgery center. The facility performs same-day procedures including microdiscectomies, artificial disc replacement, endoscopic spine surgery, minimally invasive spinal fusion, knee, hip and shoulder arthroscopy and total joint replacement.
