Kentucky medical center completes 100th robotic-assisted orthopedic procedure

Frankfort (Ky.) Regional Medical Center has completed its 100th robotic-assisted orthopedic procedure, according to an Aug. 21 report from The State Journal.

Alan Oster, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at the practice, began performing robotic-assisted procedures using Zimmer Biomet’s Rosa Hip System last year. 

Robotic procedures offer patients a less invasive surgical option with quicker healing times, less post-procedure pain and less blood loss.
