Biologic Therapies Begins Operating With New Medical Devices

Biologic Therapies, a new medical device company, has begun operations in Florida specializing in the design and manufacturing of components for the biologics sector of the medical device industry, according to a news release by the company.

The company formed as a joint project between Scorpion Medical and Monet Medical to provide medical technologies that are anticipated to enhance physicians’ use of orthobiologic materials and surgical procedures for treating orthopedic conditions.

Biologic Therapies plans to use autologous biologic therapy, or the body’s own stem cells, to increase healing potential and improve surgical and non-surgical results. The treatments apply to injuries involving the knee, ankle, elbow and shoulder as well as regeneration of cartilage and bone.
