The robot was secured through a partnership with Zimmer Biomet. To meet the requirements of the deal, the center needs to complete 100 procedures with the robot in the next 12 months.
The Rosa system creates a surgery plan for each patient with its 3D mapping capabilities. The robot helps the surgeon increase accuracy and precision.
The debut procedure was performed by Stanford Israelsen, MD, the report said.
