The device is the third SI joint system offered by the company, according to a news release. Jessen Mukalel, MD, was the first surgeon to use the SIros O implant.

“The SIros O system celebrates the key principles of the SIros implant family by featuring not only the patented rifled inner diameter but also the 3D printed nanostructure that facilitates osteoconduction,” Genesys Spine Chief Strategy Officer for SI fusion, Meredith Gavlick, said in the release.

SIros O is designed for sacroiliac joint fusion to treat conditions such as degenerative sacroiliitis and sacroiliac joint disruption.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
