1. Orthopedic surgeon Robert Doane, MD, was elected to the Michigan State Medical Society board of directors, the organization said May 1.

2. Anjan Shah, MD, was named chief medical officer of Conventus Flower Orthopedics, the medtech company said May 2.

3. Loyola Medicine in Maywood, Ill. named Mary Mulcahey, MD, division director of sports medicine.

4. Roanoke, Va.-based Carilion Clinic named John Jane Jr., MD, will be chief of its neurosurgery department.
