Coastal Orthopedics marks 500th robotic knee replacement

Coastal Orthopedics in Bradenton, Fla. marked its 500th robotic knee procedure with Stryker’s Mako robot, the practice said May 10.

The practice added the robot in October 2021, according to a news release shared with Becker’s. The robot featured 3D image-based planning, AccuStop haptic technology and data analytics. Mako also helps increase precision during surgery.

Coastal Orthopedics has 19 physicians and was founded in 1973.
