Eminent Spine earns FDA clearance for ALIF system

Eminent Spine’s standalone anterior lumbar interbody fusion system earned FDA 510(k) approval, the devicemaker said Nov. 8.

Four things to know:

1. The system includes implants in 30-degree hyperlordotic angles and five implant profiles, according to a company news release. 

2. It includes PEEK and 3D-printed titanium footprints.

3. The device has microteeth to prevent micromigration and micromotion.

4. The system has a locking tab providing visible security of screws.
