ClarifyEye AR system expands to Japan

Royal Phillips’ ClarifyEye augmented reality spine system debuted in Japan, the medtech company said Oct. 13.

The system was installed at International University of Health and Welfare, Mita Hospital, Tokyo, according to a company news release. Dr. Ken Ishii has used the system to treat patients with spinal stenosis and scoliosis.

ClarifEye was introduced in February 2021 and is CE marked. It combines 2D and 3D visualizations with 3D augmented reality, using a low X-ray dose.
