The Bear implant is relatively new, with many surgeons implementing it in their practices in the last year. It takes what is left of a person’s own ACL and attaches it to a graft, allowing the patient’s body to heal itself, according to the report.

Dr. Yen Shipley has practiced as an orthopedic surgeon in Portland for more than 11 years. She works with Multnomah Orthopedic Clinic.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
