Devicemaker adds senior vice president of product development

Intelligent Implants added Andy Forsberg as senior vice president of product development.

He will help the company with its technical vision and development of the SmartFuse system, according to a June 3 news release. Mr. Forsberg has more than 20 years of leadership experience and has written more than 40 patents and patent applications. 

The SmartFuse system is a wireless technology used to remotely stimulate, control and monitor bone growth. Its first indication will be for lumbar spinal fusions, the release said.
