Spine surgeon completes 100th robotic-assisted surgery

Andrew Kokkino, MD, recently completed his 100th robotic-assisted spine surgery with the ExcelsiusGPS robot in Springfield, Ore.

Dr. Kokkino completed the procedure at Peacehealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend, according to a May 17 LinkedIn post. 

Globus Medical’s ExcelsiusGPS robot combines a robotic arm with full navigational capabilities that allow surgeons to operate with a small incision.
