Hartford Healthcare adds Prodisc L

Hartford (Conn.) Healthcare added the Prodisc L artificial disc to its services.

Mark Hornyak, MD, is trained to use the device, which is used as an alternative to spinal fusion, according to a news release emailed to Becker’s May 16. 

Prodisc L is the most studied total disc replacement device. It was first used in 1990.
