The training was facilitated by Daniel Park, MD, an orthopedic spine surgeon at William Beaumont Hospital in Southfield, Mich. He has partnered with the medical device company to help educate surgeons nationwide on one of the most recent advancements in minimally invasive spinal surgery, Amplify Surgical said May 12.
The training was the first in a series the medical device company plans to hold on the surgical technique. During the training, surgeons observe a dualPortal procedure while the instructor responds to questions. They then partake in a hands-on cadaver lab session where surgeons gain the experience necessary to bring the technique into their own practice.
