A $250,000 grant is funding the three-year project, according to an April 28 news release. The partnership aims to create advanced image registration algorithms using machine learning and AI. The results may be incorporated into Think Surgical’s robotic technology for orthopedic surgery.

Research will be conducted at Concordia’s Impact laboratory.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 18–20 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
