Surgeon completes 85th case with Medtronic spine robot

James Leipzig, MD, recently completed his 85th case using Medtronic’s Mazor X Stealth robotic surgical system.

Dr. Leipzig is a spine surgeon at the Spine Center in Roanoke, Va., specializing in robotic and minimally invasive surgery techniques. He is the only surgeon in the area to offer a robotic spine surgery program, according to the practice’s website. 

Dr. Leipzig completed the procedure April 5, according to an email sent to Becker’s.
