Ohio hospital adds spine robot

The University of Toledo (Ohio) Medical Center added Medtronic’s Mazor X Stealth robot, according to a March 31 announcement in The Blade.

The hospital is one the first in its region to add the robot, and surgeons debuted it in February. The robot helps with implant and screw placements.

Ohio has seen a recent boom in Mazor X adoption. St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Akron-based Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center and Cleveland-based University Hospitals onboarded the technology this year.
