SeaSpine’s revenue jumps in US, globally in Q4: 6 notes

SeaSpine saw 20 percent year-over-year growth in the fourth quarter of 2021, with significant gains in U.S. spinal implant sales, according to financial results posted March 11.

Six things to know:

1. Fourth-quarter revenue was $55.6 million, a 20 percent year-over-year-increase. 

2. U.S. revenue grew 19 percent compared to the same time last year. Spinal implant revenue in the U.S. jumped 32 percent year over year with $27.3 million, and U.S. orthobiologics revenue grew 7 percent compared to the same time last year.

3. International revenue clocked in at $5.4 million, growing 26 percent. 

4. Full-year revenue was $191.5 million, a 24 percent increase compared to 2020. U.S. revenue in 2021 increased 23 percent with $171.4 million. 

5.SeaSpine’s 7D Surgical saw $6 million in sales revenue during 2021. 

6. SeaSpine expects 2022 revenue to hit $226 million to $230 million, an 18 to 20 percent growth compared to 2021.
