Crystal Clinic among 1st in region with Mazor X Stealth robot

Akron, Ohio-based Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center is one of the first hospitals in the region with the Mazor X Stealth robotic surgical system.

The hospital said March 8 in a news release shared with Becker’s that the system was installed in February, with the first case to use it expected in March.

Crystal Clinic said it is one of about 200 hospitals in the nation with the system, which features an automated robotic arm that can hold instrumentation in place and account for unique nuances in each patient’s anatomy.

The system can be used in all types of spinal surgeries.
