Chad Weber, DO, of Dayton, Ohio-based Orthopedic Associates, performed the hospital’s first robotic-assisted surgery, according to a Feb. 28 LinkedIn post.

The Mako SmartRobotics system uses a CT scan to create a patient-specific 3D model, which surgeons can then use to create a personalized surgical plan for joint replacement patients.
