Smith+Nephew 2021 revenue jumps 14%

Smith+Nephew reported a 14 percent increase in revenue for 2021 in its year-end financial results released Feb. 22.

The medical device company made $1.3 million during the fourth quarter, bringing its total revenue for 2021 up to $5.2 million. It made $4.6 million in revenue in 2020.

Smith+Nephew also highlighted several accomplishments from last year in a Feb. 22 news release, including the new growth strategies, product launches and the expansion of its robotics platform. It also included its announcement of Deepak Nath, PhD, as CEO.

The company is aiming for a 4 to 6 percent growth in underlying revenue by 2024 and a trading profit margin of at least 21 percent.
