The handpiece is designed for bone removal during minimally invasive surgery and to provide maximum visualization, according to a Dec. 20 news release. BoneScalpel Access is powered by the company’s ultrasonic surgical aspirator system, which has been commercialized in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Australia.
Bioventus’ BoneScalpel Access is expected to launch in 2022.
