Legion Conceloc uses Smith+Nephew’s proprietary advanced porous titanium and is 3D-printed. The first U.S. procedures were completed in October, and the device is available in North America.
“Legion Conceloc addresses the critical elements of the cementless total knee through its unique design,” Mathias Bostrom, MD, one of the system’s designing surgeons, said in a news release from Smith+Nephew. “The asymmetrical keel is designed to help achieve immediate bone fixation, while the patented 3D-printed structure of Conceloc encourages biological ingrowth.”
