Three notes:

1. SeaSpine said in a Sept. 24 regulatory filing that cancellation or postponement of procedures, along with labor shortages negatively impacted spine surgery volumes in the third quarter. The shortages were the most severe in August.

2. Areas where the effect was seen in the U.S. include Florida and Texas, which contribute to a significant portion of SeaSpine’s top line.

3. SeaSpine estimates its total third quarter revenue will grow at the mid-single-digit range from the same time in 2020.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
