Orthopedic device maker acquires CatapultMD, adds 24 team members

Lehigh Valley, Penn.-based orthopedic device company Tyber Medical acquired Bonita Springs, Fla-based medical device company CatapultMD, the firm said Sept. 23.

The acquisition is expected to double Tyber’s manufacturing capacity, the company said, with a combined 100,000 square feet between its new facilities in Florida and its Pennsylvania headquarters. Tyber’s workforce is expected to grow from 120 employees to as many as 144 with the addition of CatapultMD members.

The acquisition is expected to close before the end of the year.
